A simpler way to use the photo under 100kb

Make a photo easier to share or fit into an upload form. Choose a target size in KB, adjust quality, and compare the output with the original before downloading. Target size mode may reduce dimensions. Original files remain untouched. Animated inputs are flattened to a single frame; metadata and color profiles may not be preserved.

How it works

  1. Choose a JPG, PNG, or WebP image up to 20 MB.
  2. Set the output format, quality, and an optional target size.
  3. Compress, compare the preview, and download your image.

Your data stays with you.

Your file and form inputs don’t leave your device. This tool works locally in your browser. We only save recently opened tool names and optional feedback on this device.

Frequently asked questions

Can I compress an image to exactly 50 KB?

Enter 50 in the target field. The tool searches for an output below that limit by adjusting quality and, if necessary, dimensions. Exact sizes are not guaranteed; you will see whether the target was met. KB uses 1,000 bytes.

Why does PNG ignore the quality setting?

PNG uses lossless encoding, so browser quality settings don’t change its encoding quality. Select JPEG or WebP for lossy compression, or allow target mode to reduce dimensions.

Will my image keep its transparency?

PNG and supported WebP output preserve transparency. JPEG cannot, so transparent areas are filled with white.
